Ziterdes - Summoning Rock

Although Hugo had known what to expect, he was still frightened the first moment he stood in front of the mighty eagle's head. In the dim light, one could almost forget that the head was carved out of stone. Thaja's eyes also widened as Hugo led her past the enormous beak and up the steps carved into the rock.

Only the power of Thaja's master was currently keeping the ominous soul-eaters from devouring the inhabitants of Hugo's village. Therefore, he had also instructed Hugo to lead the young pupil to the summoning rock.

Hugo would never have thought that this ancient structure, which had stood unnoticed for many years, hidden somewhere in the forest, would one day become so important.
